ADHD Assessments

ADHD comprehensive assessments are available for children and adults.
The cost includes the assessments, comprehensive report, summary letter and a feedback session.
The Lite assessment is available to adults and includes the assessment and letter confirming the diagnosis. It doesn't include a comprehensive report or follow up appointment. This is suitable for people who want their diagnosis confirmed but don't need a report.
If you want to explore medication you might be best to go striaght to a paediatrician or psychiatrist.
NDIS does not support ADHD at this time. Before paying for an assessment try one of the screening quizzes below to help decide if an assessment would be worthwhile.
IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT MEDICATION
In April 2024 the law changed so you can now see a psychiatrist or paediatrician anywhere in Australia. Scripts can now be filled across state borders. Previously you could only get a script from a specialist in your state and have it filled in your state. Now, you can get a script written from anywhere in Australia using telehealth platforms and have it filled. This opens up more opportunity to get in to see someone sooner. Waitlists may be shorter in other states. If your main goal is to access medication, you may wish to go directly to a paediatrician or psychiatrist.
Please be aware that psychologists cannot prescribe or make recommendations about medication. Medication is prescribed by paediatricians and psychiatrists
